With a nickname of “webfoot” earned while flying seaplanes for 25 years I’d like to share some views of Grumman Agcat VH-KKD. Most sea birds such as ducks, geese and swans have webbed feet.
It was converted to a 2 passenger front cockpit replacing its’ original hopper and also converted to Peekay 3500 floats.
I spent 8 years of my 25 flying years in this open cockpit environment and as well as sharing the joy of seaplane flying, also became an expert on sunburn and windburn.
We operated KKD from the Southport Broadwater on the Queensland Gold Coast on 10, 15 and 20 minute joyflights.
